Paleo Pathways: Exploring Ancient Environments

Join Us: This tour is ideal for anyone interested in learning how the dramatic environmental shifts over 200 million years of Colorado's paleo past can help us better understand present and future climate and environmental challenges. Our knowledgeable guides will lead you on this journey through time. This 1.5-mile walk will include multiple stops to illustrate these dramatic changes. 

Tour Specifics 

• $28 per person  

• Tour is suggested for ages 16 and older.  

• 2 hours  

• Tour departs from the Main Visitor Center at 16831 W. Alameda Parkway  

• Admission to the Exhibit Hall is included with each ticket  

• Tour may be called off for active precipitation, temps below 32 degrees, severe winds, or lack of registrations.  

• Appropriate attire: comfortable shoes, sun hats, sunglasses, removable clothing (windbreakers, fleeces, etc…) Be prepared for changing Colorado weather.  

• Bring water  

Minimum of 2 and maximum of 13 participants

Our Main Visitor Center is located off C-470 at the Alameda Parkway exit. Parking is free. Please check in at our Gift Shop
