Behind the Scenes at Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center on March 15, 2019

Our friends at the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center began their careers with the preparation of fossil fish from Kansas, and that is well-evident in the displays that we will see in the museum! Mike Triebold has spent years perfecting his molding and casting techniques to get down to the most minute details preserved in the rock and bones. After a scenic jaunt through the museum we will pause for lunch and reflect on all we have seen.

After lunch, RMDRC staff will sneak us in for a super special behind the scenes tour of just exactly how their spectacular casts are made! Perhaps we will even get a chance to sneak a peek at their most recent works? Perhaps it's a fossil that doesn't even have a name yet! The what-ifs and questions will seemingly never end, don't miss out on this rare opportunity to see what sort of collections lie hidden in the back rooms of RMDRC!
