2021 Boy Scout Day at Dinosaur Ridge

Join us for Scouting Weekend at Dinosaur Ridge! Boy and Girl Scouts of all ages will participate over two fun-filled days of geology, paleontology, and general science. 

There will be amazing vendors on-site including the Morrison Natural History Museum, Society of Women Engineers, Molly Brown House, Minerals Education Coalition, and many others helping with booths that fulfill requirements!

The general public is welcome to attend, but will need to purchase bus tickets on-site and will not have access to worksheets or special Scout-related activities. 

Scout registration fees include bus access, worksheets, and other site information/activities.

Event Patch Available: $3/patch
National Fossil Day 2021 patches are available for Scouts of all levels and the public! 

Parking Fee: $5/car (cash only)
Parking is at a Bandimere Speedway lot. Map and directions TBD.

Parking is off-site for this event for all visitors. Shuttle service between the lot and Dinosaur Ridge Visitor Center will run all day.

Cub Scouts and Webelos will be able to earn requirements for many belt loops and academic pins. Scouts will be able to earn their Geology Merit Badges*. Check our website to see a list of requirements and badges you can earn at this event.

Scouts of all levels must register with Dinosaur Ridge to participate in the event either as a den, troop, or independently. *At the Scout level, please register along with the name and contact email of your Geology Merit Badge Counselor (Dinosaur Ridge will not be able to provide Geology Merit Badge Counselors this year). If you cannot find a Geology Merit Badge Counselor, you can still attend and finish many of the requirements for this Badge.

Non-Scout - $5.00
(Non-scouts are accompanying family such as parents, friends, and siblings.)

September 26-October 7th at 5:00pm
Scout - $10
Non-Scout - $6

Timed Entry
We will be organizing registrations by a timed entry with 50 people assigned at a time in 15-minute increments. You can put in your preferred timed entry, but please do note that staff may need to change this slightly if the requested timed entry is full.

Boy Scouts with Merit Badge Counselors: Timed start at 9 am only.
All other Scouts: Timed entry starts at 9:30 am in 15-minute increments.
