Description
This week across the state events that "Celebrate Colorado" are happening as part of a countdown to Colorado's 150th anniversary of statehood in 1876. Colorado has awesome state symbols like the Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep - but the symbol of Colorado's prehistoric past, the state fossil, is famous worldwide: the mighty Stegosaurus! Friends of Dinosaur Ridge Education Programs Erin LaCount will share fun facts about this iconic animal and how it came to be an official symbol. Your ticket includes refreshments and there will be time for Q&A after the presentation. NOTE: The Martin G. Lockley Discovery Center is located just inside Entrance #1 to Red Rocks - events at the Amphitheatre can add to traffic in the area.
