A Trip Through Colorado Collections
April 25, 2025 – 8am to 4pm
Join Dinosaur Ridge on this trip to see what’s housed behind locked doors, cabinets, and back rooms of Colorado museums! We will start the day with a guided tour and exploration of geology and paleontology collections at Dinosaur Ridge. Afterward, we’ll check out the current home of the first Stegosaurus bones and other collections of Morrison discoveries at the Morrison Natural History Museum.
We then head across town to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for behind-the-scenes access to their Education, Paleontology, and Geology collections led by experts and collections managers. LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION
We will be using one or two of Dinosaur Ridge’s 15-passenger vans on this journey. We’ll meet at the Martin G. Lockley Discovery Center and then use our buses to journey to the Morrison Natural History and Denver Museums, and back again.
PHYSICAL EXERTION LEVEL/ACCESSIBILITY
This trip is for all who wish to attend! We can make any part of the trip accessible, and if need be and you have an accessible vehicle unique to your needs, you may follow us to the locations and participate fully at all of the locations. Please do notify us of any special needs so we can fully accommodate all of our guests.
PROGRAM FEE
$130/person (A $20 discount is available for members – please request a discount code before registering).
Feed includes transportation to all locations, museum admissions, lunch, and snacks.
TRIP CANCELLATION POLICY
The Colorado Collections trip is contingent on a minimum of 10 registered participants and will be cancelled 30 days prior if the minimum is not met. If the trip is cancelled by Dinosaur Ridge, participants will receive a full refund of program fees paid. All cancellations must be received in writing.

Cancellations received 45 or more calendar days prior to departure qualify for a full refund.

Cancellations received 21 or more calendar days prior to departure qualify for a 50% refund of program fees.

Cancellations received 20 calendar days or less prior to departure are assessed as a cancellation fee of 100% of the program fees. You may transfer your registration to another attendee or forfeit your payment.
